Visitors Testimonials

  • Just spent three nights here with my boys. Love this place. It's my second time and won't be the last. Accommodation is clean. Gardens are well kept. Staff are friendly. Wooli and Minnie Waters (just up the road) are both incredible little towns. Friendly locals and uncrowded beaches. My favourite part of the world!
  • We stayed in cabin 9, the closest to water. Very clean spacious cabin. Bed very comfortable. Nice views of river and swimming pool. The large undercover BBQ area is great for groups. TV is very small but is also a DVD player. Hotel next door has nice meals. Loved our stay.
  • My husband and I recently visited wooli river lodges and stayed for 3 nights. The lodge offers special 2 and 3 night getaways which are great value. The free canoes and paddle boat hire was great and we didn't have any problems getting one. We stayed in cabin 1 and couldn't fault it. There was plenty of towels and blankets and it was very clean. Bare in mind the kitchen only provides a microwave and an electric fry pan. Make sure you take all the food and supplies you need as the closest supermarket (other than the store at the petrol station) is over half an hour away.

  • Through a mistake, we stumbled on Wooli River Lodge for an 8 day break. We arrived late, but were readily seen to our lodge by the Caretaker. All our needs were within the Lodge and the surrounds. We were there for the weekend, and while the Lodges were well booked, the area was quiet and more than enjoyable. On our first night we were visited by a beautiful Brush tail Possum who enjoyed the fresh fruit, and paid us further visits during our stay. The bird life in the area is wonderful. Visits to Minnie Waters, Diggers Camp, Grafton, Nymboida Coaching Museum, Ballina, and through the local drives were delightful. Especially when one came home to a peacefully tranquil Lodge. One could hear the Surf on tidal changes, the bird calls throughout the day and night making it so relaxing. There are several places to enjoy meals, a cup of coffee or alcohol. The community are very friendly and full of pride from their township. Our Lodge was very comfortable, with the beds and shower being better than most. We will certainly be returning again. Great swimming and fishing areas close at hand, and the surrounds are very enjoyable. We stayed in Lodge 2, Lorikeet.
